Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines, because the Goodguys 18th Southwest Nationals is making its triumphant return to WestWorld of Scottsdale this month.
See over 3,000 vintage rods, classics, customs, muscle cars and trucks, but only through the year 1972—a.k.a. the golden age of automobiles. But the action-packed weekend has so much more to offer than just some cars in a grass lot.
The show will coming to a close with Duel in the Desert, the finale of the organization’s year-long competition, where competitors from across North America compete in a 32-car single elimination tournament, showing off their vehicle’s skills on a closed course. The Duel in the Desert final round will reward the winner with $20,000 in cash and even more prizes.
Goodguys will crown the winners of the Top 12 Awards, which honor the most impressive automobiles and AutoCross racers in the country, during the three-day gas-guzzling weekend.
During the weekend of competitions and candy-colored cars, hot rodders can participate in a giant used car parts swap. Vintage and brand new car owners can trade and buy their high-performance parts and accessories.
Be sure to stop by Sunday to see cars of all years, but they have to be ‘merican! K&N Filters All American Sunday will feature American vehicles from all years, but they all have something in common—the spirit of the red, white and blue flowing through them.
This eye-popping automotive festival is speeding by, so grab your tickets soon!
