Bon Jovi’s show at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Saturday, March 4, was a sentimental journey. It wasn’t just because of the slew of hits the band performed. The frontman dedicated “We Weren’t Born to Follow” to audience members Gabby Giffords, the former congresswoman who was critically injured by a gunman in Tucson, and her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly.
“He is one of the of the only people in the world who’s been around the world more times than Bon Jovi,” Jon Bon Jovi said. “She is a true American hero. She defines tenacious, and her determination exemplifies the spirit of Arizona and America. Her service to our country is nothing short of miraculous and inspiring.”
