Pita Jungle has a secret: Its new happy hour menu serves up an expanded tapas menu, drink specials and a larger selection of wines and local brews.
The Scottsdale-based chain calls it a “secret” because it didn’t boast of its happy hour, which was expanded to 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The new drink specials include $2 off wine and cocktails; $1 off draught and bottled beers; $5 house margaritas and $5.50 house sangria.
Some locations offer reverse happy hour from 9 p.m. to close. Draught and bottled beers may vary by restaurant.
“Each location was able to select their own local bottled and local draught beer selections to strengthen the tie to the local community and underline the ‘your neighborhood restaurant’ feel,” says spokeswoman Robyn Moore.
It’s not just limited to drinks, either. New tapas, which start at $2, include chipotle chicken pizza on a Greek pita; glazed chicken pizza on a Greek pita; spinach and pesto pizza on a Greek pita; and chicken, kafta, salmon and chipotle black bean sliders.
A seasonal kitchen crafts menu offers Mayan quinoa chili; spicy mango shrimp; ahi tuna poke bowl; chicken avocado pita tostada; roasted veggie penne salad and baklawa trifle.
Pita Jungle’s dishes are equally as tasty as they are customizable.
“Pita Jungle has one of the best happy hours in the Valley,” Moore says. “However, we have never advertised it as such. Therefore, we decided to play on this and call it ‘Our Best-Kept Secret.’”
