Are you a mild guy? A medium gal? A hot or nuclear fan with taste buds of steel? Find out at Scottsdale Spice, an epic battle of spicy proportions!
More than 20 Valley chefs will bring the heat at The Venue Scottsdale to compete for a chance to win a Golden Ticket to participate in the World Chef Challenge.
As a celebration of the creative culinary style in Scottsdale, each participating chef will showcase his or her dishes in four heat levels: mild, medium, hot and nuclear. The lineup includes Brat Haus, Burgers n’ Fries, Chef John’s, Craft 64, Mad Greens, Papi Chulo’s Mexican Grill, Rubio’s, SanTan Brewing and Starfire Golf Club.
Participants will submit one dish for the World Chef Challenge competition portion at Scottsdale Spice. That dish will be scored by a panel of media, chef and celebrity judges, plus patrons attending the event will get to cast a vote for their favorite dish. The winning chef will receive a “golden ticket,” which automatically advances them to the next competition round to the three-day World Chef Challenge in Florida.
Local band Sapphire Sky will perform their electrifying music to keep the party going. From top 40 dance to modern country, classic rock anthems and hip-hop, Sapphire Sky delivers a diverse range of high energy entertainment.
General admission is $45 for Scottsdale Chamber members and $55 for non-members. Admission includes unlimited food samples from participating restaurants (while supplies last) and seven drink tickets good for wine, craft beer and spirits.
